13th Floor Haunted House
Fans dared to enter the 13th Floor Haunted House at Comicpalooza! Experienced a spine-chilling walkthrough filled with scares, surprises, and heart-pounding thrills around every corner.
Battlestar Galactica - Viper
Presented was a full-scale Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper from the original TV series. If fans ever watched any sci-fi show and dreamed of being able to actually get inside one of those amazing spaceships they had seen on screen, this was their chance. The Colonial Viper was the only full-size replica of the classic spaceship in the United States. Fans came on board, climbed inside, and let their imaginations soar.
Comicpalooza Karaoke
Karaoke gave Comicpalooza fans the opportunity to perform their favorite hits alongside other attendees. Fans filled the evening with tunes and laughs as they strutted their stuff on stage.
Cosplay Meet Up
Fans showed off their cosplay, met fellow fans, and celebrated creativity at this open cosplay meetup at Comicpalooza. All fandoms and skill levels were welcome—fans came to take photos, share tips, and connect with other cosplayers in a fun, inclusive environment.
Fight Club
Fight Club returned, teaming up with Turnip Café and Kaboom! Comics to host epic Rivals of Aether 2 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournaments in Houston’s largest venue. With 50+ setups, fair payouts, diverse bonuses, and both pre-event and onsite registration, gamers from around the world competed while fans enjoyed casual play, community, and the perfect gaming hangout—thanks to Turnip Café.
Comicpalooza Party
Fans stepped into the Matrix and powered up the night at Comicpalooza’s Friday Night Bash! Kicked things off with a high-energy DJ set, dove into the action with a live band bringing the vibe to life, and kept the party going as another DJ closed out the night. With immersive visuals, electrifying music, and nonstop energy, attendees unplugged from reality and danced deep into the code.
DnD "Shooting Gallery"
Adventurers were needed! Due to a shortage of skilled adventurers, the D&D training program was in session.
Itasha Showdown: A Car Runway Experience
The coolest cars on the block returned to Comicpalooza! Themed with beloved anime and other pop-culture fandoms, this sight was one to see. And back again that year, fans checked out specialty-designed Houston classic low riders!
Quadball
Quadball is based on Quidditch from the Harry Potter series. It was a fast-paced sport created in 2005 and played in over 39 countries, featuring a unique mix of elements from rugby, dodgeball, wrestling, flag football, and other sports. Fans came to learn the basics and try out chasing, beating, keeping, or even seeking!
Retro Gaming - Fight Club
Fight Club at Comicpalooza leveled up with free-play retro games all weekend! Between Smash Bros. and Rivals of Aether 2 tournaments, fans jumped in and played Mario Kart 64 (x2), Super Smash Bros. (x2), Super Smash Bros. Melee (x2), and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (x2). Whether practicing, chilling, or racing friends, it was all free and all fun.
Roundtables
Fans joined roundtables and shared in-depth discussions with fellow fans. Some of the roundtable topics included science fiction, horror, and thriller, among others.
The Star Wars Alliance
The Star Wars Alliance is a group of Star Wars-centered fan groups who believe in three pillars: to promote interest in Star Wars, to facilitate the use of costumes, and to contribute to the community as a whole.
Sneaker Culture
Fans could have joined two back-to-back experiences that dove deep into the world of sneaker culture—from hype and history to hands-on design. First, attendees explored what made sneakers iconic in a high-energy panel unpacking storytelling, psychology, and pop culture crossovers. Then, participants stepped into a creative workshop where they designed their own sneaker concepts and discovered the art of kicks firsthand.
Texas All-Star Wrestling
Texas All-Star Wrestling returned! Attendees cheered on their favorite wrestlers as they battled for the Comicpalooza Dragon Belt.
Texas All-Star Wrestling Meet and Greet
Fans could meet the wrestlers of Texas All Star Wrestling and got up close with the competitors battling for the Dragon Con Title Belt. Fans took photos, asked questions, and connected with the athletes behind the action in this special meet-and-greet experience celebrating the excitement of live professional wrestling.
Texas All-Star Wrestling (Crowning the Dragon Title Belt)
Fans got ready for hard-hitting action as Texas All Star Wrestling brought the heat to Comicpalooza! Fans watched top talent battle it out in the ring, building toward the high-stakes championship showdown for the coveted Dragon Belt. With intense rivalries, crowd-pumping moments, and nonstop excitement, it was a must-see event for wrestling fans looking for big energy and unforgettable moments.
Workshops
Attendees received hands-on experience in one of many workshops available during show weekend, including How to Draw Manga Better Than the Books, portfolio reviews with a comic editor, and more.
