Appearances | All Weekend

Jared Broussard, M.A., LPC, is a licensed professional counselor and founder of Thumos.Life Mindfulness & Psychotherapy, a private practice serving clients virtually both in the Greater Houston area as well as across Texas overall. His clinical work integrates Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Executive Functioning/ADHD Skills Coaching, as well as Community Integration Coaching to support clients in a style that blends compassion, sarcasm, & authenticity.

Jared’s career has spanned roles across the spectrum of care, ranging from world renowned inpatient psychiatric institutions to the private practice he operates currently. In these roles, he had the opportunity to develop treatment programming, design & lead therapy groups, as well as collaborate on research exploring innovative treatment approaches in inpatient treatment environments. Further, he has presented multiple times at local & national conferences about Narrative ACT. His work reflects a deep commitment to helping others live lives guided by meaning, mindfulness, and values-driven committed actions.

Drawing from both evidence-based science & the human experience, Jared approaches therapy as an exploration of the most authentic version of themselves – doing his best to blend insight, humor, and authenticity into his work as much as possible. Through his practice & speaking engagements (and never-ending incorporation of Nerd & Geek references into his work when applicable), he encourages clients and clinicians alike to cultivate resilience, curiosity, & compassion in the face of life’s inevitable challenges.
