Families have plenty to choose from at Comicpalooza! Beyond family-friendly programming and activations all throughout the show floor, young fans participate in kid-specific programming and activities in the Kidtopia area. Kidtopia entertains young fans with Dungeons and Dragons sessions, geeky-fun trivia contests, plus the annual Kids Cosplay Contest. Special attractions around the exhibition floors provide thrilling obstacles with Mech Corps, while the Itasha Showdown brings the oohs and ahhs with pop-culture-themed cars, and Full Steel Combat has the whole family cheering.

Entertaining Activities at Comicpalooza
Comic Couture
Blending fashion and their love for comic books and anime, students from Houston Community College and UH Downtown display their unique creations for fans to vote on. The designs showcase months of dedication and hard work leading up to the event.
Returning for the second year in a row, Fight Club is back in collaboration with Turnip Café and Kaboom! Comics. Compete in Rivals of Aether 2 and Smash Ultimate in the biggest venue in Houston, TX and be among national and globally ranked players! Tournaments take place on both Saturday and Sunday with 50+ setups across all games, fair payouts, diverse pot bonuses and incentives. Pre-event registration is encouraged but onsite registration is available if you do not alter seeding as seeding top players will be final two days prior to the event.
Full Steel Combat
Knights are a part of the fantasy psyche as much as dragons and tyrant kings. Fans watch knights participate in melee combat, hear the ringing of steel and the clashing of swords, and root for their favorite knights throughout the weekend.
Itasha Showdown: A Car Runway Experience
The coolest cars on the block return at Comicpalooza, themed with beloved anime and other pop-culture fandoms—a sight fans don’t want to miss!

There are oodles of entertainment and family fun activities, including Trivia, D&D sessions, the Kids Cosplay Contest, and much more on the exhibition floor.
Kids Dungeons and Dragons
Kidtopia welcomes young fans into the realm of Dungeons and Dragons. The Dungeon Master guides them through epic adventures, and no experience is needed.
Kids Karate Classes
Ever dreamed of becoming a Ninja? Little ones join this class for an action-packed introduction to martial arts, learning essential skills like kicking, punching, and more.
LEGO - Houston Brick Club
Fans can check out custom LEGO creations from local builders centering on Star Wars, comic, pop-culture, and fantasy-related themes. Each creation is on a custom display for you to admire and take a pic or two! Plus, fans can enjoy a magnificent mosaic that is displayed onsite.
Movement Stage
The Comicpalooza Movement Stage brings nonstop energy, with fans celebrating movement, music, and self-expression. From high-energy K-pop routines to a mix of styles and performances, the stage buzzes all weekend with talent, passion, and community.
Okash - Japanese Arcade
Level up your Comicpalooza experience with Okashi Houston as we bring the electric energy of authentic Japanese arcade gaming to Texas’ largest pop culture festival. Known for our 1,800-square-foot Pearland arcade packed with over 40 genuine Japanese machines, we’re transporting that magic to Comicpalooza with hand-picked favorites ranging from rhythm hits like Project Diva Future Tone and Love Live to racing classics like Mario Kart and Initial D. Whether you’re a hardcore gamer or just curious, step into our immersive space and experience the vibrant arcade culture of Tokyo.
Passport to Kidtopia
Ehen the kids come in they will first make a kidtopia passport and then venture around the area to different zones/countries/make believe places to learn fun facts, make a craft or do an activity and get a stamp in their passport. There will be at least 10 stamp locations inside kidtopia. More if I can get the volunteer numbers up.
Quadball for Kids
Quadball is based on Quidditch from the Harry Potter series. It is a fast-paced sport created in 2005 and played in over 39 countries with a unique mix of elements from rugby, dodgeball, wrestling, flag football and other sports. Bring your kiddos to learn to play and fly around the pitch!
Snow Globe Photo Op
Kids can climb inside the Kidtopia globe to experience a whirlwind of color and excitement.
Texas All-Star Wrestling
Texas All-Star Wrestling returns, with attendees of all ages cheering on their favorite wrestlers as they battle for the Comicpalooza Dragon Belt.
