Mark A.J. Nazal

Mark A.J. Nazal is an Emmy Award-winning visual effects supervisor, filmmaker, and creative executive whose work moves fluidly between studio productions and the independent space. His credits include genre-defining series such as Gotham, Lucifer, and Westworld, alongside a body of short films and music videos recognized by international festivals and creative platforms. He is the founder of SurrealArts Group, a global creative collective, and the co-founder and Chief Creative of Diwata Komiks, an indie comics imprint focused on diverse AAPI storytelling across comics and other media. His work has been featured at San Diego Comic-Con and comic festivals internationally, and he serves on the Visual Effects Society's Texas Board and the Television Academy's Peer Group Executive Committee.
