Children and families were delighted in what they saw and what they did at Comicpalooza. Young minds were challenged and entertained in the wondrous world of the Innovation Lab where creative thinking was blended with science, math, and a bit of magic.

Nearby a children’s play world beckoned as kids jumped and tumbled, giggled and played. Merchants awaited with toys and books and art and goodies. Superheroes and characters from fantasy books roamed the halls often stopping for a pose and a photo.

Upstairs, children played with Legos or learned to draw and create comics, while the kid’s room had art, singing, dancing, balloon twisting, story time, along with oodles of additional fun from the Children’s Museum. Families joined in on one of the scheduled activities or enjoyed the ongoing crafts like button making and comic book creating.

Children participated with featured artist Thom Zahler as he taught kids how to draw a fun character, or painted-a-long as a professional artist led them in creating a masterpiece all on their own! Families listened as the Dad and Daughter Read podcast duo took on new and classic children's stories live from the Comicpalooza Kid’s Room. And, kids showed off their best moves at the one and only Kid’s Disco Dance Party!!! On Sunday, children were invited to dress up and walk the stage in their favorite costume during the Children's Cosplay Contest.
