Kristin Bauer

Kristin BauerAmerican film and television actress Kristin Bauer is best known for her role as Pam, the vampire co-owner of Bon Temps' Fangtasia bar in True Blood. She got her start in TV portraying flight attendant Maggie Reynolds in the FOX comedy The Crew. In 1996, Bauer appeared in one of her most memorable guest roles as "Man Hands" Gillian, Jerry's girlfriend, on Seinfeld. Throughout the years she has played other series-regulars, including Geneva Renault on the short-lived action drama Total Security, and Candy Cooper on the CBS Family drama That's Life.

 

 

Michael Biehn

Michael Biehn is an American actor best known for his roles in James Cameron’s science fiction action films The Terminator, Aliens and The Abyss. Biehn was given his first role in a 1977 pilot called James at 16. The next year, he starred opposite Cathy Lee Crosby in his first feature film, Coach. His film credits include the Oscar-nominated The Magnificent Seven, The Fan, Stiletto, Deadly Intentions, The Seventh Sign, Tombstone, The Rock, Grindhouse, Planet Terror and Navy Seals. Biehn’s television credits include guest starring in several high-profile series, including Dark Blue, Law and Order: Criminal Intent and Hill Street Blues. More recently, he has appeared in the film Puncture, and can soon be seen in The Divide. Biehn will be making his directorial debut with The Victim.

Jennifer Blanc

Jennifer Blanc, also known as Jennifer Blanc-Biehn, first appeared on Broadway in Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs at the age of 13. Blanc later appeared in the television series Hull High and in The Mommies. Other projects include Friends Till The End, Party Of Five, The Cool and The Crazy, and James Cameron’s Dark Angel with Jessica Alba. She has also guest starred on shows such as CSI, Grace Under Fire and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Look for more of Blanc in recently completed projects such as Jack of Spades, Prank, Badass, and To Kill A Memory. Most recently, she made an appearance in The Divide with partner Michael Biehn, and is producing The Victim.

Britt Griffith

As one of the investigators on the hit Syfy series Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International, Britt Griffith has been investigating paranormal activity around the globe since 2008. When he’s not busy busting ghosts, Griffith acts, mentors dyslexic children, and lectures on learning disabilities and the paranormal.

 

 

 

 

Richard Hatch

Award-winning actor Richard Hatch has enjoyed international recognition for more than three decades, starring in such series as Dynasty, All My Children, The Streets of San Francisco and, of course, Battlestar Galactica. Hatch also played the role of Tom Zarek in the recent re-imagined version of Battlestar on the Sci-Fi channel. In addition, he has co-written seven Battlestar novels for ibooks — his most recent is Redemption.

Christopher Judge

Actor Christopher Judge has acted in a variety of films (House Party 2, A Dog’s Breakfast), television shows (Andromeda,), animated series (X-Men: Evolution, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe) and video games (Def Jam Vendetta, Turok), but he’s undoubtedly best known for his work as Teal’c on the sci-fi series Stargate SG-1, on which he has appeared more often than any of the show’s other actors. Look for Judge in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming blockbuster, The Dark Knight Rises.

 



Richard LeParmentier

Richard LeParmentier is a British actor best known for his role as Admiral Motti, the arrogant Imperial officer who is choked by Darth Vader in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. He also played serious police lieutenant Santino in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Although his last screen role was in 1992, LeParmentier has appeared in over 50 films and television programs over the course of his career, and has also served as a screenwriter for British television. LeParmentier made his video game voice-over debut in 2004 in Soldiers: Heroes of World War II as a narrator, and is currently involved in several projects for the screen, on the stage, and in prose.

Rachel Luttrell

You may know the lovely Rachel Luttrell from TV shows such as Charmed, Touched by an Angel or the Anne Rice miniseries Feast of All Saints; perhaps you own her wonderful debut CD, I Wish You Love. But chances are, you know Luttrell best as the adventurous Athosian leader Teyla Emmagan on the long-running sci-fi series Stargate Atlantis. She recently extended her daring streak by appearing on Steven Seagal's new television series, True Justice.

 

 

 

Peter Mayhew

Soon after his giant seven-foot-four frame landed him an offer to appear in Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger as the Minoton, Peter Mayhew interviewed with George Lucas to play the lovable Chewbacca the Wookiee. After filming the Star Wars films, Mayhew retired to private life for 14 years in England before marrying, moving to Texas, and then becoming an American citizen. Mayhew reprised his role for the Star Wars prequels, and consulted with Lucasfilm creatives to bring Chewie into The Clone Wars Cartoon Series. He finished his consulting by recording "the voice of Chewbacca" for the first time in 30 years. Mayhew still acts occasionally, but enjoys spending time with fans at events around the world.

Chandler Riggs

Chandler Riggs made his professional theatrical debut with Theater of the Stars at Atlanta's Fox Theater in The Wizard of Oz and got his first big acting break in the 2009 movie Get Low as the character Tom. Since then, he landed a role in the Lifetime TV movie The Wronged Man and currently plays Carl Grimes on AMC’s popular hit, The Walking Dead.

 

 

 

 

Kevin Sorbo

Kevin SorboKevin Sorbo has fought gods and monsters and traversed the stars — not bad for a guy from small-town Minnesota. Upon his arrival in Hollywood, Kevin jobbed around a while before eventually finding the ideal showcase for his particular combination of talents. For 111 episodes, Kevin starred in the fantastic Hercules: The Legendary Journeys for Sam Raimi before moving on to Gene Roddenberry’s sci-fi series, Andromeda. Kevin has recently written a memoir, True Strength, revealing his real-life hero’s journey.

 

 

George Takei

George Takei is known around the world for his founding role as Starship Enterprise helmsman Hikaru Sulu for three seasons of television’s Star Trek, a role he later reprised in six movies. Other television credits include guest appearances on a variety of popular sitcoms, and he has provided Grammy award-winning narration to a range of projects. His voiceover talents have brought life to hundreds of characters in film, television, video games and commercials. Takei is also an accomplished author and award-winning community activist and human rights supporter. More recently, Takei had a recurring guest role on the TV sci-fi drama Heroes, is featured in the film Larry Crowne, and stars in the Nickelodeon series Supah Ninjas. He is also developing a new musical intended for Broadway. Look for more of Takei on NBC-TV’s 2012 season of Celebrity Apprentice.

Eric Basaldua is an American comic book artist working exclusively for Top Cow Productions on interior artwork. Basaldua started his career at Top Cow Studios, working on backgrounds directly under its founder, Marc Silvestri. Basaldua's most recent interior artwork can be seen in Witchblade Annual #1.

 

 

Howard Chaykin

Howard ChaykinPioneering creator Howard Chaykin is among the most innovative artists and writers ever to work in the medium of comics. While he’s worked for all the major publishers on their biggest characters, Chaykin is probably most revered for his own boundary-pushing creations, such as American Flagg!, which makes him a rarity in an industry that seldom favors true individuality.

 


Shane Davis

Shane DavisWorking in the industry since 2003, Shane Davis illustrated the first issue of the JLA/JSA crossover storyline "The Lightning Saga," in 2007 and then penciled Superman/Batman issues #44–49. Davis was tapped by writer Geoff Johns in 2008 to be the artist for the Final Crisis tie-in one-shot Rage of the Red Lanterns, featuring a lead-up to a story in the main Green Lantern title and its 2009 crossover Blackest Night. His last project was with writer J. Michael Straczynski on the original graphic novel Superman: Earth One, which has been on the New York Times best-seller list for 37 weeks. Davis is currently working on the highly anticipated Superman: Earth One, Volume 2.

Michelle DeleckiMichelle Delecki is an American artist known for her paintings of women, often referred to as pinup art. Her artwork has been shown in galleries throughout the United States, Italy and Canada, and is collected by fans worldwide. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bob Eggleton

Considered the most “commercially successful” artist in science fiction and fantasy, Bob Eggleton has been putting brush to canvas and board for over twenty years, and is winner of 9 Hugo Awards and 12 Chesley Awards, among others. In the 90s, Eggleton worked on Dark Horse Comics’ Godzilla series, and is now working on IDW's incarnation of the Godzilla comics over 15 years later. Eggleton has also worked as a conceptual illustrator for thrill ride Star Trek: The Experience (Las Vegas) and the 1998 film Sphere. His most recent film work includes concept art and character design for the John A. Davis animated feature The Ant Bully and for Davis’ Academy Award-nominated Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.

Dave Johnson

Dave "The Reverend" Johnson is a comic book artist best known for his work on the covers for the title 100 Bullets. He has also done a number of covers for Detective Comics and earned the 2002 Eisner Award for Best Cover Artist. Johnson was nominated for an Eisner again in 2004 thanks to his work on the critically acclaimed DC Elseworlds miniseries Superman: Red Son, which is now a perennial best seller in graphic novel form. He is currently working with the Cartoon Network as well as providing cover art for PunisherMax, Deadpool and Unknown Soldier.

 

Tyler Kirkham

Tyler KirkhamTyler Kirkham’s first paid art gig was drawing for a local newspaper, until he landed a job drawing indy book The Gift. Kirkham has since worked at Top Cow Studios (with artists like Marc Silvestri) and later on titles such as Strykeforce, Tomb Raider, The Darkness, Transformers, Amazing Spiderman, X-Men: Phoenix Warsong, and Ultimate Fantastic 4. He has been featured in FHM, Wizard, and Nintendo Power, among others. Kirkham is currently working for DC Comics on Green Lantern: New Guardians and is developing his own stories for shelves in the near future.

Gerry Kissell

Gerry KissellGerry Kissell has worked on Xbox’s Alan Wake comic, IDW’s The A-Team, Army of Two, and the comic tie-in for the sci-fi film Iron Sky. He has also worked on Vanquish, Tim Kenyon's Endtime and finally Tyler Button's Bayeux. Most recently, he created and was penciler and colorist on IDW's best-selling graphic novel Code Word: Geronimo. Look for the titles SLEEPERS: INCEPTION and Detective Nobody, planned for 2012 release by Kissell’s Hazmat Studios.

Joe Kubert

Joe Kubert has worked in comics since the beginning of the business. In his seventy-plus years of working in the medium he has produced countless stories for countless characters, including DC Comics' Hawkman, Tarzan, Enemy Ace, Sgt Rock, Batman and the Flash as well as his own characters: the heroic caveman, Tor, and Abraham Stone. His list of accomplishments is lengthy. A quick rundown: penciler, inker, letterer, colorist, one of the creators of 3-D comic books, newspaper strip cartoonist, school founder and teacher, correspondence course developer, author, artist and editor. Paul Maybury

Paul Maybury is an Award-winning artist and writer whose work has been featured by Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Heavy Metal, Ubisoft, Metro, Image, Criterion and Fast Company. He previously collaborated with writer Mark Andrew Smith for the Image Comics graphic novel Aqua Leung, and currently works on his new graphic novel Grace, along with his webcomic Party Bear for webcomics collective ACT-I-VATE. Maybury’s webcomics have also appeared on the DC Comics site Zuda.

 

 

Angus Oblong

Angus Oblong is creator of Adult Swim's The Oblongs and writer/illustrator of the books Creepy Susie and 13 Other Tragic Tales for Troubled Children as well as 13 Other Tragic Tales for Ugly Children.

 

 

 

 

 

Tommy Phillips

Known for his ability to meet difficult deadlines and for his unique, etched-metal trading cards, Tommy Phillips has penciled, inked and colored many projects, including his own Kullen. His most recent projects include the graphic novels Midnight to Daylight and Death's Row with Arcana Comics, as well as Phybernetix Hardwear with Shadow Dance Entertainment. Other projects include One Man Army, The Renaissance, Flight and Time Bomb.

 

 

Andrew Robinson

Andrew Robinson joined the army after high school to pay for art classes. In his senior year at the Savannah College of Art and Design, he began illustrating short stories for Dark Horse Comics. Robinson has since worked for all the major comic book publishers as well as many of the major gaming companies. His current projects include a painted graphic novel about Brian Epstein and the Beatles, as well as his own comic, called Dusty Star.

 


Dirk Strangely

Dirk StrangelyDirk Strangely is a conceptual designer, fine artist and writer of horror and fantasy. He is known for his newest published graphic novel, Dirk Strangely’s Graveyard Girl, as well as his children’s book Dirk Strangely’s Myrtles Broken Turtle. Strangely has also freelanced many designs for clothing apparel, unique vinyl toys, and album covers. He is frequently involved in projects that allow him to branch into film, digital art, sculptures, puppetry, and writing.

Chris Summers

Chris SummersChris Summers is a freelance colorist that has been working professionally for the last 7 years. He has colored various titles, including GI Joe, Dungeons & Dragons, Superman, Nightwing, The Perhapanauts and Spartacus: Blood & Sand, among others. Summers is also a host of the Comic Book Confessions podcast, has been a Guest Lecturer at Hardin-Simmons University’s Art dept, worked as part of Hi-Fi Design, and has done artwork for band merchandise, tattoos and video game concepts.

 

 

Marcio Takara

Marcio Takara has been working in comics since 2006, on titles such as SpiderMan & Fantastic Four: Hard Choices (Marvel), Marvel Adventures Super Heroes (Marvel), Dynamo5 (Image Comics) and The Incredibles (Boom! Studios). He has also done concept design artwork for video-games and animation projects. In 2011, he moved from Toronto, Canada, to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he is currently working on the Incorruptible title as the regular monthly artist, with artist Mark Waid, for Boom! Studios.

 

Ben Templesmith

Ben TemplesmithAward-winning artist Ben Templesmith has risen to the top of the comic world with his work on such horrific books as 30 Days of Night, Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse and Hellspawn, but he’s also done illustrations for the worlds of film, gaming and trading cards. Thom Zahler

Thom ZahlerThom Zahler is the writer and artist of the critically-acclaimed, fan-favorite superhero romantic comedy Love and Capes, currently published by IDW. Paul Black

Paul BlackPaul Black is a celebrated author whose first novel, The Tels, won the Writer’s Digest 2005 Book of the Year for Genre Fiction. His second book, Soulware, took second place in ForeWord’s Book of the Year Awards for Science Fiction, while the third book in the Tels series, Nexus Point, later won first place. Black’s The Presence won the Independent Publisher’s Book Award for Science Fiction, along with ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year. He is also creative director of Paul Black Design, a strategic design and branding firm in Dallas, Texas.

Leigh M. Lane

Leigh M. Lane writes dark, speculative fiction with strong social and political overtones. Her novels Myths of Gods and World-Mart span from the beginning of time to decades into the future; her imagination as vast as her books are fast-paced and unique. She has six other novels published under alter ego Lisa Lane, under which she writes erotic horror and science fiction romance — one of which was featured last year on the Home Shopping Network.

 

Joe R. Lansdale

Joe R. LansdaleWhile he’s written graphic novels, sci-fi tales, mysteries and westerns, Joe Lansdale is probably best known for his horror work, such as the novella Bubba Ho-Tep, which was nominated for a Bram Stoker award and later made into a much-loved cult film. A life-long Texan, Lansdale is writer in residence at Stephen F. Austin State University as well as a martial arts instructor and member of the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Lansdale has won the American Horror Award, the Edgar Award and seven Bram Stoker awards.

 


Larry Niven

While Larry Niven is many things — award-winning novelist, mathematics scholar, television writer and comic book creator — he’s perhaps best known as the author of the 1970’s Ringworld science fiction series, for which he received the Locus, Hugo and Nebula awards. Niven has also tackled other mediums, writing for cult-classic TV shows Land of the Lost and The Outer Limits, and later retooling the Green Lantern universe for DC Comics. He recently collaborated with Edward M. Lerner on Betrayer of Worlds, and continues to create new tableaus in Known Space.

 

 

Christopher Yost

Chris Yost is probably best known as writer of Marvel Comics’ new hit, Scarlet Spider, but he’s been kicking around the Marvel Universe for several years. After starting as an intern at Marvel in 2002, Yost began writing for the animated series X-Men: Evolution. His work was so well received that he quickly expanded to writing comics as well, working with major characters such as the X-Men, Spider-Man, Wolverine and the Avengers. Currently, Yost is also story editor of the popular Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes animated television series. But it’s his work on Scarlet Spider that showcases how a villain can be cast as a hero, proving that Yost is indeed a comic book hero in his own right.

Timothy Zahn

Timothy Zahn has been writing science fiction for over thirty years, and in that time has published forty-two novels and ninety short stories and novelettes. Best known for his nine Star Wars novels, Zahn is also the author of the Quadrail series, Cobra series, and Dragonback series. Recent books include Cobra Gamble, Star Wars: Choices of One, and the 20th Anniversary edition of his first Star Wars novel, Heir to the Empire.

Richard Horvitz

Although he’s acted in various sitcoms, television series and sketch comedy groups, Richard Horvitz is perhaps best known for his voice work as the title character Zim from the show Invader Zim, as the original Alpha 5 in TV’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, as Billy in The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, and as Daggett in The Angry Beavers. Horvitz has also voiced video games as Raz in Psychonauts and as Orthopox in the Destroy All Humans! series. More recently, he appeared as Matt Damon’s attorney in The Informant! and improvised alongside Steve Carell in the film Crazy, Stupid, Love. Horvitz also plays the character “Green Grapes” in the Fruit of the Loom commercials.

Rikki Simons

Rosearik Rikki Simons is a voice actor, writer, and artist most famous as the voice of the robot in a dog suit, GIR from Invader ZIM. He is also a background painter in animation, most noted for his color design on Invader ZIM. As an artist and writer Simons is known for science fantasy graphic novels such as Ranklechick and His Three Legged Cat, Super Information Hijinks: Reality Check!, and the unfinished six volume ShutterBox fantasy series, which he co-created with his wife, Tavisha Wolfgarth-Simons. Nick Gillard

Preferring stuntwork that is woven into the fabric of the film rather than paraded for the sake of spectacle, veteran stunt coordinator Nick Gillard guided actors Ewan McGregor and Liam Neeson through training in his own fictional martial art in order to bring a special dimension to the stunts of Star Wars: Episode I. Performing his first stunt work in The Thief of Baghdad, Gillard has since appeared in countless "World's Greatest Stunts" videos as well as in blockbusters such as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (boat and tank battles) and Interview with the Vampire (doubled for Tom Cruise). Gillard also portrayed the Alien Queen in Aliens, and his sword work has been displayed in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and in The Three Musketeers. He holds several unofficial world records and has been on fire at least 100 times.

Michael O. Varhola

Michael O. Varhola is a freelance writer who founded and runs game company Skirmisher Publishing LLC, with which he has published more than 100 books, games, and other publications, including the d-Infinity multi-platform game magazine. He has authored or co-authored 10 non-fiction books on a wide variety of subjects and one novel.
