13th Floor Haunted House

Fand dared to enter the 13th Floor Haunted House at Comicpalooza! Experienced a spine-chilling walkthrough filled with scares, surprises, and heart-pounding thrills around every corner.

Astroworld Display

Fans stepped back into Houston’s theme park history with a walk-through AstroWorld showcase. Featuring authentic memorabilia like a functional taxi, lift cart, original signage, and rare collectibles, this immersive display invited fans of all ages to relive the magic of AstroWorld right on the show floor.

Battlestar Galactica - Viper

Presented was a full-scale Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper from the original TV series. If fans ever watched any sci-fi show and dreamed of being able to actually get inside one of those amazing spaceships they had seen on screen, this was their chance. The Colonial Viper was the only full-size replica of the classic spaceship in the United States. Fans came on board, climbed inside, and let their imaginations soar.

Beru - Solo Leveling Photo Op

Fans could step into the world of Solo Leveling like never before with an exclusive, life-sized Beru attraction. Whether longtime fans or newcomers to the series, attendees got a unique chance to capture unforgettable moments and become part of the story. They didn’t miss the chance to stand alongside one of the most legendary summons in anime-inspired storytelling!

Comic Couture

Students showcased their creative flair at Comic Couture. Blending fashion and their love for comic books and anime, students from Houston Community College and UH Downtown displayed their unique creations throughout the weekend for fans to vote on.

Dagorath

Dagorath, a Houston based Live Action Role-Playing game, welcomes all to experience fantasy medieval warfare. The sound of war drums and battle horns beckon you to join us in the shaping of our lore. Open to all ages, heroes, vilans, and everyone in between. Let the battles begin!

FIRST Robotics

FIRST Robotics teams were at Comicpalooza demonstrating their robots, showcasing their design and engineering skills, and engaging with the public in a fun and interactive way.

Full Steel Combat

Knights were a part of the fantasy psyche as much as dragons and tyrant kings. Fans watched knights participate in melee combat, heard the ringing of steel and the clashing of swords, and rooted for their favorite knights throughout the weekend.

Houston Public Library Planetarium

Literature fans could go on a journey through space without leaving the city! They learned about the wonders of the night sky in HPL’s inflatable planetarium dome. The exhibit also included information about the library and a table activity.

Itasha Showdown: A Car Runway Experience

The coolest cars on the block returned to Comicpalooza! Themed with beloved anime and other pop-culture fandoms, the sight was one to see. And back again that year, fans checked out specialty-designed Houston classic lowriders!

Itasha Bicycles

Fans could have pedaled in style with Comicpalooza Itasha Bicycles! These custom anime and pop-culture-themed bikes brought the vibrant world of Itasha art to two wheels.

Kidtopia

There was oodles of entertainment and family fun activities! Trivia, D&D sessions, the Kids Cosplay Contest, and so much more took place at the Kidtopia area on the exhibition floor.

LEGO - Houston Brick Club

Fans could have checked out custom LEGO creations from local builders centered on Star Wars, comics, pop-culture, and fantasy-related themes. Each creation was on a custom display for fans to admire and take a pic or two! Plus, fans enjoyed a magnificent mosaic that was displayed onsite.

Okashi - Japanese Arcade

Levelled up the Comicpalooza experience with Okashi Houston, bringing the electric atmosphere of authentic Japanese arcade gaming to Texas’ largest pop culture festival. Based in Pearland, Okashi Houston operated an 1,800-square-foot gaming haven with more than 40 authentic Japanese arcade machines, and brought that excitement to Comicpalooza.

Quadball

Quadball was based on Quidditch from the Harry Potter series. It was a fast-paced sport created in 2005 and played in over 39 countries, featuring a unique mix of elements from rugby, dodgeball, wrestling, flag football, and other sports. Families brought their kiddos to learn how to play and “fly” around the pitch.

Society for Creative Anachronism

The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) was an inclusive community pursuing research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth-century skills, arts, combat, and culture. The lives of participants were enriched as they gained knowledge of history through activities, demonstrations, and events.

The Star Wars Alliance

The Star Wars Alliance is a group of Star Wars-centered fan groups who believed in three pillars: promoting interest in Star Wars, facilitating the use of costumes, and contributing to the community as a whole.

USS Zavala

Attendees were able to participate in a FREE photo op recreation of the original series Star Trek bridge, coming to sit and be captain or navigate the USS Enterprise at the helm. They donned a free uniform to enhance the experience. STARFLEET provided Star Trek fans with a way to make friends, have fun, and give back to their communities. On the local level, members of the USS ZAVALA gathered with other fans for a variety of enjoyable activities.
