Yewande O. Addie, PhD, MPH, is a communications scholar, narrative strategist, and two-time Fulbright Scholar whose work sits at the intersection of media, culture, and power. She holds a doctorate in Mass Communications, a master's in Public Health, and a master's in History, and brings an interdisciplinary lens to questions of race, identity, and representation across media and popular culture. Her research spans health communication, media framing, and Black diasporic cultural production —including ongoing work on Black speculative fiction and superhero narratives that engage medical racism. She is also a creative producer on Between Rhythms, a forthcoming documentary exploring Nigerian-American identity. Addie teaches media and communication courses as an adjunct professor and consults on narrative strategy for social change.
