Family Activities

Families had plenty to choose from at Comicpalooza! Beyond family-friendly programming and activations all throughout the show floor, young fans participated in kid-specific programming and activities in the Kidtopia area. Kidtopia entertained young fans with Dungeons and Dragons sessions, geeky-fun trivia contests, plus the return of the annual Kids Cosplay Contest. Special attractions around the exhibition floors provided thrilling obstacles with Mech Corps, while the Itasha Showdown brought the oohs and ahhs with pop-culture-themed cars, and Full Steel Combat had the whole family cheering.

Entertaining Activities at Comicpalooza

Comic Couture

Blending fashion and their love for comic books and anime, students from Houston Community College and UH Downtown displayed their unique creations show weekend for fans to vote on. The designs were a culmination of hard work and dedication over several months leading up to the event.

Full Steel Combat

Knights are a part of the fantasy psyche as much as dragons and tyrant kings. Have you ever wanted to watch knights participate in melee combat, to hear the ringing of steel and the clashing of swords? You could watch Full Steel Combat all weekend and root for your favorite knights!

Itasha Showdown: A Car Runway Experience

The coolest cars on the block returned to Comicpalooza! Themed with beloved anime and other pop-culture fandoms, this sight was one to see!

Kids Cosplay Contest

Comicpalooza presents Kidtopia's World Famous Kids Cosplay Contest! Age groups include 6 and under, 7 - 8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15.

There was oodles of entertainment and family fun activities! Trivia, D&D sessions, Kids Cosplay Contest and so much more took place at the Kidtopia area on the exhibition floor.

Kids Dungeons and Dragons

Kidtopia welcomed our young friends into the realm of Dungeons and Dragons. The Dungeon Master led you through an epic adventure that you will never forget. No experience was needed.

Kids Karate Classes

Ever dreamed of becoming a Ninja? Little ones joined this class for an action-packed introduction to martial arts, where they learned essential skills like kicking, punching, and screaming - everything an aspiring ninja needs!

LEGO - Houston Brick Club

Kids checked out custom LEGO creations from local builders centering on Star Wars, Comic, Pop Culture, and Fantasy-related themes. Each creation was on a custom display for Comicpalooza attendees to enjoy and photograph. Also, a magnificent mosaic was displayed onsite by and for the community.

Movement Stage

The Comicpalooza Movement Stage brought nonstop energy as fans gathered to celebrate movement, music, and self-expression. From high-energy K-pop routines to a mix of styles and performances, the stage stayed buzzing all weekend with talent, passion, and community.

Snow Globe Photo Op

Kids climbed inside the Kidtopia globe to experience a whirlwind of color and excitement.

Texas All-Star Wrestling

Texas All-Star Wrestling returned! Attendees of all ages cheered on for their favorite wrestlers as they battled it out for the Comicpalooza Dragon Belt.
