At Comicpalooza, we are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming experience for all of our guests. We proudly adhere to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and strive to ensure that everyone can fully enjoy everything our event has to offer. This year, we’ve made a number of enhancements to our existing policies and best practices, including this very page.
Whether you're looking for accessible seating, assistance from our staff, or other accommodations, we’re here to help. Below you will find information about available services, resources, and how to request additional support.
Parking
ADA parking is available in most garages located around the George R. Brown Convention Center (GRB). Parking spots are first come, first serve. We recommend you reserve parking ahead of the event, those with ADA parking available will have an accessibility icon.
Book Your ParkingAccess to the Building
There will be two ADA lines – one located in Hall A and one located in Hall E on the first floor of the GRB. For those entering the building on second floor and needing to pick up their credentials there will be elevators near the entrance to go down to the first floor to check in at the ADA Concierge Desk.
ADA Concierge Desk
Upon entering the show, you will be able to connect with one of our ADA Concierges located in the Box Office area in Hall A and Hall E. Here you will be able to pick up or purchase passes and receive additional information about our accommodations and onsite resources available to you during the show. Additionally, this is where you’ll be able to pick up your ADA Credential Sticker if you have a mobility disability.
ADA Credential Sticker
If you are a person attending any panels and have a mobility disability, make sure to stop by the ADA Concierge Desk to pick up your ADA credential sticker. This sticker gives you priority access to ADA seating located in most panel and programming rooms. Please note seating is limited and not guaranteed.
ADA Lines throughout the Show
Most high traffic entrance points will have ADA lines including entrances to the exhibit hall on Hall B and Hall D. In 2025 we’re widening photo and autograph lines for greater accessibility and creating a standard throughout the show.
ADA General Assembly Seating
Limited ADA seating is available in most panel and programming rooms to persons with a mobility disability. ADA floor access will be available in the General Assembly. Entry times will be based on your pass type (Specialty, General Admission). The line to enter at this access point (with one guest) will begin 30 minutes prior to the start time and will close 10 minutes before the panel begins. Once the panel has started, there will be no re-entry on the floor level. Additional ADA seating is located on the upper level via ramp where entry will remain open through the duration of the programming.
ASL
All celebrity panels in the General Assembly and other select panel rooms will have an ASL interpreter provided by BlueSun Interpreting, LLC. With over 30 years of experience BlueSun Interpreting provides qualified, highly certified, geek savvy American Sign Language Interpreters. Other services include signed English/CASE interpreting, transliterating, oral or signed support, deaf/blind interpreting, and pro-tactile interpreting. To connect with BlueSun Interpreting during your visit, please complete the form below. They will meet you at check-in and provide you general information about the show and discuss the additional support opportunities they offer such as communicating with your favorite celebrity in the photo or autograph line. Some services may come at an added fee, to be paid directly to BlueSun Interpreting.
ASL Assistance RequestService Animals
A service animal is a dog that is adequately trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a classified disability. Service animals are permitted throughout the GRB, but does not include emotional support animals, therapy or companion animals. All service animals in the GRB must be with the handler at all times, be up to date with their vaccines, and must not cause a disruption to the event.
Sensory Relief
While the show provides a plethora of activities all weekend long, we understand it can become overwhelming for some. If you're feeling overstimulated, we have a Quiet Room located near the south end of the GRB on the Third Floor in room 380A. This room will be stocked with sensory relief items to give your mind and body a break from the hustle and bustle of the show. If you visit this room, we ask that everyone is respectful and mindful of others. Additionally, for those feeling overwhelmed, but not ready to leave the show, ear plugs will be available in the First Aid room located in Concourse A and E on the first floor and on the third floor near room 310.
Wheelchair Access
The GRB is equipped with automatic doors throughout the venue, restrooms with ADA stalls, and elevators for persons with mobility disabilities. In addition, we provide an extra layer of comfortability with a separate ADA line at the building entrances so you can go in at your own pace, wider aisles on the exhibition floor – including the photo and autograph lines – with limited ADA seating in most panel and programming rooms. At this time, the GRB and Comicpalooza does not have rental wheelchairs available. However, to request a rental wheelchair you can contact local providers such as Scootaround.
