Byron Canady, M.S., is a dynamic force at the intersection of entrepreneurship, education, and creative culture. Basically, he makes nerding cool. As the founder of Gulf Coast Cosmos Comics in Houston’s Third Ward, he has cultivated a vibrant, inclusive space that celebrates diverse voices in comics, offering curated collections, community workshops, and artist showcases . An accomplished educator, Canady is now a member of the Baylor College of Medicine Biotech Academy's Science department teaching Neuroscience and S.T.E.A.M.M. curriculum. Holding a Master of Science in Business, he leverages his extensive background in film, experiential marketing, and entertainment to inspire emerging creatives. Recognized as a 2025 BANF Artist Award recipient, Canady continues to champion representation and innovation across the arts and business landscapes.
