Efren Ramirez has been working as a professional actor for the entirety of his adult life. He has appeared in diverse character roles on E.R. (2003), Judging Amy (2003), The District (2004), Boston Public (2000-2001) and Scrubs (2007).

However, it was his memorable portrayal of Pedro in the feature film Napoleon Dynamite (2004) that dramatically launched what has become a hugely prolific acting career with a diverse series of performances in film, television, drama, and comedy.

In the years since that film was released, Efren Ramirez has appeared in scores of films and network television shows including leading roles in the HBO film Walkout (2006), with Edward James Olmos; Employee of the Month (2006) opposite Dane Cook and Dax Shepard, Crank (2006) and Crank High Voltage (2009) opposite Jason Statham; (playing his twin brother in the sequel), Gamer (2009) with Gerard Butler; When in Rome (2010)with Kristen Bell; House of My Father (2012) opposite Will Farrell; HBO’s Eastbound and Down (2010-12) with Danny McBride; Middle School (2016)with Lauren Graham and Andy Daly; Monsters of God (2017) with Garret Dillahunt; Ice (2018) with Jeremy Sisto; Perpetual Grace, LTD (2019)with Sir Ben Kingsley; and FBI: Most Wanted (2022) with Dillon McDermott.

Efren’s range of voiceover work consists of countless characters in such animated series as Bordertown (2016), The Casagrande’s (2021), Robot Chicken (2005), American Dad (2007), and the animated series of Napoleon Dynamite (2012). Most recently, he played Airman Diaz in Disney/Pixar’s highly anticipated animated film, Lightyear (2022) opposite Chris Evans and Santiago in Due Justice (2023). He is set to star in the upcoming films 7 Cemeteries and Brothers of Justice.
